Ben Barnes is the Vice President and General Manager of Hewlett Packard’s Business Intelligence division. In this presentation, he explains HP’s role as a BI infrastructure provider. Summary of points:
HP, along with his partners such as Oracle, Business Objects, Cognos, SAS and others, does 200,000 data-warehousing/business intelligence implementations every year and generate billions of dollars in revenues [...] And It’s a big market: about a $50 billion a year growing 10%/year for the next 4 years [...] it also plays to our portfolio, because that $50 billion is made of hardware, servers, storage, software and services. And we happen to have all of those within our portfolio.
