Microsoft Surface for Business Intelligence Applications
Demo of MS Surface for Business Intelligence. Microsoft Surface is the future facing technology that allows us to use our hands to interact with a computer application that appears on an ordinary desktop surface. By recognizing touch and gestures, the system allows for an intuitive interface.
This video demonstration was recorded at the Microsoft BI conference in Seattle held in 2008. The demo shows a map being manipulated through pointing and gesturing. The map has business intelligence overlays and shows data such as the energy utilization of the building that the conference was held in.
Quite an interesting concept. Is this the future of business intelligence? Will BI be a hands-on experience for users?
