It is estimated that over 80% of the data collected has to do with geographic location. Using the map to overlay the data makes for a very user friendly and intuitive interface. Users can perform visual queries by drilling down into different sections of the maps.
A location feature server extracts geographic information from disparate data sources and overlays the information on the maps. Map images can be interchanged with satellite images and arial photo images.
